Any time, anywhere, well, almost... ;) I've done cooking demonstrations for lots of occasions but one thing is for sure: it's an awesome way to do some tasting, get some inspiration and often raises awareness and support for cool causes, including the Farmers' Market "thing".
I learned so much working at them for the time that I did, meeting amazing people on both sides of the operation... Could it be just the thing for Your next event?
